Charanjit is a partner with Ernst & Young (EY), Financial Strategy and Banking. Awarded the Best Chief Financial Officer (CFO) in the CFO 100 Role of Honour for three years, he was the CFO of one of the largest bank in the world, The State Bank of India.

He is a commanding and highly respectable figure in the field of finance. He has spearheaded significant operations across his previous roles as Managing Director & CEO, Jio Leasing Servicing Ltd, Chief Operating Officer (COO), Jio Financial Services Ltd CFO- ICICI Securities, General Manager-ICICI Bank, Executive Director at 3i Infotech and Partner with Ernst & Young and KPMG.

He was a part of the Core team responsible for the merger of ICICI Limited & ICICI Bank Limited and the public issues (equity & debt) of ICICI Bank till FY-2008. He was co-opted as a member on the various committees of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India and was also a member of the Expert Advisory Committee and an invitee on the Accounting Standards Board of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India.
