Chetan is the Corporate Sustainability Director (CSD) at the World Foundation for Peace and Sustainability (WFPS). He drives pathways for sustainable development and growth through concrete strategic actions with a strong background in technical, managerial, and financial activities.

Chetan has held key positions such as Head of Sustainability at Mahratta Chamber of Commerce, Industries and Agriculture (MCCIA), Pune, Fellow of Industrial Energy and Sustainable Technologies at The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI), New Delhi, Managing Consultant at Intermediate Technology Power (ITP Group), Gurgaon, and CEO at SGES Pvt Ltd, Pune. He holds an MTech (Energy) degree and a Bachelor of Engineering (Electrical) degree from Savitribai Phule Pune University and is an Accredited Energy Auditor of BEE.

He has led sustainability initiatives for over 220 companies and nearly 350 plants across different sectors and geographical regions and has overseen implementation of more than 5,000 sustainability projects.

He has made significant contributions to sustainable development through his involvement with various multilateral organizations and government departments, leading multi-stakeholder projects. With experiences in India & Japan (JICA) and regional exposure across 17 Indian national states and 279 districts, he has delivered approximately 105 presentations at national and international conferences and conducted about 180 training sessions on diverse topics.

He has actively participated in around 190 conferences and 16 exhibitions, fostering networking and knowledge exchange. Additionally, he has authored 80 articles/papers on various ESG topics.
