His distinguished career includes serving as Permanent Representative to the United Nations and WTO, and later as High Commissioner to Malaysia and India. Through these roles, he championed dialogue, trust, and cooperation—values that resonate deeply with the mission of WFPS.
At home, he held senior leadership roles as Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Communications and as Chairman of national councils in ICT, aviation, and road safety. These positions allowed him to blend governance, technology, and sustainability to create policies that supported both progress and community well-being. His guidance also extended to boards of government-linked companies, where he promoted responsible growth and operational excellence.
Today, he continues to lead with purpose as Executive Chairman of Legendary Gadong Properties, Executive Director of Capital Residence Suites, and Chairman of HM Taha Services, a family-run charity dedicated to uplifting communities. His efforts reflect a lifelong commitment to balancing development with compassion.
Recognized with national honors by His Majesty the Sultan of Brunei and awarded an Honorary Doctorate in India, Dato Paduka Hj Alaihuddin brings wisdom, humility, and global perspective to the Advisory Board of WFPS. He believes that peace and sustainability are inseparable, and that true leadership lies in fostering inclusive partnerships that leave no one behind.
Away from official duties, he is an avid traveler, photographer, and student of Southeast Asian history. These passions reflect his enduring curiosity about cultures and people—a trait that continues to shape his vision of a world united for peace and sustainability.
At WFPS, he would guide global diplomacy and governance initiatives, helping to connect nations, institutions, and citizens in a shared journey towards people, planet, prosperity, and peace.
