He was the Executive Director of Corporate Advisory at ArcelorMittal Nippon Steel India, where he works at the intersection of industry and governance to align national and state-level priorities for sustainable economic growth.
Mr. Kapoor is a board advisor to the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology’s $300 billion strategy initiative and a core member of “Indian Industry 2047,” a long-term economic vision spearheaded by the Prime Minister of India to guide the nation’s progress towards its centennial year of independence.
Previously, as Senior Vice President for Strategy, Investments, and Policy Analyst at Samsung for India & South West Asia, Mr. Kapoor led the strategic efforts that resulted in the establishment of the world’s largest mobile manufacturing facility in India—an achievement that marked a major milestone under the Government’s “Make in India” initiative. He served as CEO, public policy & affars at Jindal Steel pvt ltd and as Director External Affairs at Vodafone Foundation. He was Director, External Affairs, strategy & public policy, Cairn Energy LLC and CEO – Strategic initiatives, Strategy & Corporate Affair, Communication and CSR at Reliance Industries. He served as Regional Director, South East Asia & Asia Pacific, Vesstergaard Frandsed and Director, Business Development, Proctor & Gamble (P&G). He was also a part of Global leadership team of Unilever Sustainable Living Lab in association with Vodafone.
